The Giro d’Italia for women will start on May 30 in Cesenatico. Officine Mattio had the honour to design and present the official bike of the race last week. And guess what, it is pink. Very pink.
Officini Mattio is a true Italian bike manufacturer. Praised for its craftmanship and creating elegant bicycles demonstrating its passion for cycling. The official Giro d’Italia Women 2026 bike is a perfect example of the clean lines the brand is known for. It produces frames in carbon and steel for both road and gravel riding. Check out the Bisalta we presented in an earlier post:

A Campagnolo group would make it a true Italian creation, but the official Giro d’Italia Women 2026 bike is equipped with a Dura-Ace drivetrain, Shimano being a partner of the race. Not a bad choice of course, in terms of shifting and braking performance. The Rule Wave aero wheels give the bike a distinctive appearance.
We would have opted for a black seat post and handlebar as well to match the wheels, groupset and saddle. But at least the tyres are black (and not pink). But hey, it is all a matter of taste and the Italians should know best. And you know what they say, a woman looks pretty in pink. Hopefully the riders feel the same way when they are climbing the Colle delle Finestre.
