Scott introduced the 2027 model of the Spark RC SL last week. The frame structure and settings have undergone significant modifications to reduce weight and refine the bike’s dynamic handling.
The updates resulted in a frame weight of only 1.427 grams (size M, painted without shock). This is about 150 grams less than the previous generation. Frame is made of strong HMX-SL carbon fibers and hides the shock, just as its predecessor. This is an XC bike that performs at the highest level at the lowest possible weight.
Riding characteristics have always been the starting point in developing the new Spark. The lighter frame is stiffer and offers plenty of grip and efficiency, thanks to the 120 mm of travel at both ends. The mass has been kept in the centre of the bike ensuring stability and cornering precision.
Top of the range is the Spark RC SL feels equipped with SRAM XX SL Eagle AXS Transmission drivetrain, Syncros Silverton CF1 wheels and Ceramic Speed bearings. It comes at a total weight of 9.9 kg. Ready to race.
