The BITURBO Aero was introduced in 2020 with achieving the best values in aerodynamics, weight, stiffness and comfort in mind. The BITURBO Aero 2.0, although completely redesigned, will meet the same criteria but proofs to be even lighter and more aerodynamic. Tests in the wind tunnel show further improved results versus its predecessor.

The rim edge of 48.5 mm high has a special shape to benefit more from strong crosswinds. The forward propulsion is higher and results in a higher speed using the same force. The difference with the BITURBO Aero is a noticeable 7 watts at 45 km/h and a 10-degree wind angle.

In addition to aerodynamic advantage, the focus of the BITURBO Aero 2.0 is on the stiffness versus weight factor. The stiffness-to-weight ratio has been optimized with a new, innovative carbon layup. The weight of the wheelset has been reduced to 1344 grams without affecting lateral stiffness. The front wheel weighs 624 grams, the rear wheel 720 grams. The BITURBO Aero 2.0 is optimized for 28mm – 30 mm tires. The hook-shaped edge measures 32.5 mm at its widest point on the outside. Inner width is 23 mm.

The wheels are handmade in Germany. A complex finishing process gives the BITURBO wheels their typical matte, shimmering carbon look without using additional paint. The surface is sealed and scratch-resistant. The wheels are equipped with DT Swiss hubs and available with bodies for SRAM, Shimano and Campagnolo.
