The new Palta is the third generation of the bike introduced back in 2019. New technologies make it the most versatile gravel bike of the Basso brand. It invites for both fast rides and multi-day trips.

A blend of high-quality carbon fibers makes the frame and fork light, stiff and impact resistant. Enforcements at the bottom bracket and rear end allow for fast accelerations. The front end is tuned to offer more comfort and precise cornering.

The aerodynamic performance of the Palta III has been optimized by reducing the frontal impact area, integrating the front wheel close to the downtube and by applying truncated air foil profiles.

Basso expanded the range of the Palta III with six more sizes. Stack has been increased with 5 mm to make the first spacer avoidable. Additionally, the seat tube has been shorted with 20 mm so you can ride a longer (visible) seat post.

Tyre clearance in the front is max 52 mm and 50 mm in the back. Sufficient for riding wider tyres with less pressure and more comfort. Convenient for long days in the saddle.

The downtube features a storage area and bespoke bags by Apidura can be obtained separately. The rubber protection by Vibram, to be fixed low on the downtube, helps to protect against impact and dirt.

The Palta III comes standard with the new Strato stem and carbon handlebar. Optional are the Fuga integrated handlebar (300 grams) or Levita integrated handlebar (330 grams) at an additional € 450* for either version.
