Passoni did it again, they took our breath away. This time with the new Omni Titanium. By combining their titanium craftmanship with modern 3D printing technology, they managed to deliver a stunning looking frame featuring today’s requirements.
Passoni reengineered key elements of the frame. For instance, the 1,5” head tube is machined in three parts from Grade 5 titanium billets. This delivers an increase in stiffness and as such, an improvement in steering precision and response.
The two tubes in the front are renewed. The down tube has a reduced diameter which saves 90 grams. In total weight of the bike went down with about 120 grams in comparison with flagship model Titanio Disco.
The rear triangle has been redesigned as well. The new chainstays allow fitting 32 mm tyres. They are capped with new 3D printed dropouts. The driveside dropout is now fully enclosed, which provides a clean, streamlined look.
The frame comes with a new 1,5” FP01 full carbon fork with minimal, straight blades. The light green glossy colour of the fork and the CP01 handlebar fits the titanium frame perfectly.
The new Passoni Omni Titanium is a demonstration of combining advanced techniques like CNC machining and 3D printing with handmade craftsmanship.
Passoni suggests a configuration with the new Campagnolo Super Record group set including Bora Ultra WTO 45 mm wheels. That would give you the look of the bike in the header. What a feast to the eye.
Building a frame by hand takes time. Delivery can take up to 20 weeks. But is it definitely worth the wait.
