The Franky by Grind Cycles is the ultimate crossover between gravel and mountain bike. Meeting today’s trends where differences between specific bike types are fading increasingly. Road bicycles becoming all-road bikes. All-road bikes can be used for fast gravelling nowadays. And ‘traditional’ gravel bikes becoming ready to conquer the toughest conditions. Like the Franky. Fast and comfortable on long and rough rides.
The Franky offers a longer wheelbase, a slacker head tube and a massive tyre clearance. Of course, the drop bar facilitates changing hand positioning for ergonomic benefits. And for aerodynamic advantages in flatter sections.
The frame is ultra-light (950 grams), stiff, and responsive, crafted with T1000 and T800 Toray carbon fiber.Tyres up to 29×2.6 or 27.5×2.8 tires can be fitted. Other features include a threaded BB, multiple cabling routing options and a universal derailleur hanger.
On the Grind website you can configure the Franky exactly how you want it to be. You can select from a wide variety of colours, both base and logo, wheels, drivetrains and components (see below).
The bike as displayed above features a SRAM XX drivetrain, RockShox SID Ultimate FA fork and Dandy Horse GRX 52 carbon wheels. Price*: € 7.000.
