The SRAM Eagle Transmission 1987 collection features a unique combination of T-Type Ecosystem components in an exclusive silver finish. Some of the parts carry the year 1987 in the handwriting of SRAM’s founder Stan Day.
Although this collection is in no way comparable with the components in 1987, the principles of SRAM behind the products now and 38 years ago are still the same: durability, easy to set up and best shift under load.
The crank is based on the X0 T-Type and is made of aluminium with a double-sided power meter. It comes with 170 mm crank arms and 32 and 34 chain rings are included in the buy. The derailleur is a combination of an XX SL derailleur with an XX cage. Of course, the group comes with matching AXS Pod Ultimate Controllers.
The XX SL cassette is more than just a silver-colored eye-catcher; thanks to the special finish, it is about 25 grams lighter than a standard XX SL cassette. The chain has perforated plates, hollow pins and is hard chrome-plated with a handwritten 1987 on it. Cool.
Wearing parts with this limited edition are not available separately so be careful not wear them or replace them in time with regular parts. Included in the buy is a charger for 4 batteries and two spare batteries. The suggested retail price is € 3,799*.
