The DVO Topaz Prime shock features a redesigned compression circuit with an incredible adjustment range and control. The settings of both piston & shim have been optimized to reduce hydro locking, when ports are too small to handle high oil velocities. And the adjustments settings have less overlap, making it clearer to fine tune the best position.
The adjustable bladder system has been refined using an updated material, end cap seal and valve core. These changes enable the use of less air in the system, making it less vulnerable to the loss of air pressure and at the same time offer a wider tuning range.
The new oversized seal head, inner shaft and bushings help combat side-loading from frame flex in big hit situations. The rebound adjuster has been ergonomically updated as well.
Enduro and trail riders will benefit from the maximum adjustability and controlled nature of the Prime Compression circuit. Higher pressure creates a supportive feel and increased progression, ideal for longer descents and for heavier riders. Lower pressure will provide a more supple and comfortable feel with less support, perfect for absorbing smaller bumps and beneficial for lighter riders. See graph below.
Specifications: damper features low-speed and high-speed compression, low-speed rebound, bladder air pressure adjust. Air spring features adjustable positive and negative air volume via spacers (included). Available in 7 different metric/trunnion sizes.
