Two moments were decisive for Scott Bowden’s attempt to set a new record for the fastest solo bike ride through Tasmania. The first moment took place months before the start of the tour, when the idea crossed the invisible boundary from concept to actual implementation. The second moment came in the middle of the tour itself, when fatigue, cold and doubt threatened to put an end to the trip.
