Umbria is home to a large part of the Monti Sibillini national park as well as seven regional parks: the park of Colfiorito, the park of Monte Cucco, the park of Monte Subasio, the Tiber River Park, the Park of Monte Peglia and Selva di Meana, the Park of Lake Trasimeno and the River Park of Nera.
Agriturismo Poggio Antico is located on the border of Umbria and Tuscany; on both sides there are beautiful routes to discover. Closest are the routes around the Lake of Trasimeno. On Komoot you can find 56 gravel routes, 108 routes for road cycling and 156 for mountain biking to download. It demonstrates the versatility of the region for any cyclist. Elevation varies from 70 up to 1.400 meters, thanks to the flat sections around the Trasimeno Lake and the proximity of numerous mountains.
Highlight is the Lake Trasimeno Cycle Path, a Panicale Historic Village loop from Passignano sul Trasimeno. This path offers you a great view over the lake and you will pass through some ancient villages. You only need some moderate skills but a good fitness considering the length of 104 km and about 1.400 altitude meters. But you can also cycle the path in stages of 30-50 km.

In the middle of the rolling hills on the border of Umbria and Tuscany lies Agriturismo Poggio Antico. This is where peace, nature and Italian hospitality come together. From the domain you can enjoy a beautiful view over Lake Chiusi and the surrounding countryside. Olive groves, vineyards and cypresses give the landscape its typical Italian character.
The agriturismo consists of three authentic farm buildings. Together, these buildings once formed a small hamlet. They have been carefully restored and transformed into five attractive apartments: Antico, Belvedere, Olmo, Open Space and Etrusco. Each apartment has its own style. Authentic Italian details are combined with modern comfort.
The agriturismo consists of five attractive holiday apartments, located on a private domain of two hectares. The three authentic farm buildings – once a small hamlet – still exude the charm of the past, combined with the comfort of today.
The apartments vary from a 2-guests accommodation up to 10-guests facility. Prices vary from € 125/night to € 400/night. You can also book separate rooms for 2 or 3 guests (€ 120-€ 130/night). The specific details and images for each apartment and/or room can be found on the website.
