This week Colnago launched a special edition of the new C72 road bike: the C72 La Scala. It is a tribute to the famous Teatro La Scala in Milan. A composition of a red, black and gold finish completed with relief forms and exclusive graphics on frame and saddle. It is limited to just 72 numbered bikes.
The all-new C72 road bike offers more control and comfort thanks to the improved vibration absorption in the rear triangle and the wider tyre clearance. It allows you to ride longer and comfortable on rougher roads.
The updated geometry of the bike adds to that comfort. An increased stack-to-reach ratio allows for a more relaxed, endurance-oriented position. The frame has lost weight at the same time, 30 grams less than its predecessor the C68.
The construction of the bike hasn’t changed since the 90’s. The frame is manufactured from carbon tubes and hand-assembled in Italy with joints and interlocks. The number of parts (7) is the same as the previous C.
The cockpit features the new CC.02 integrated handlebar with a redesigned curve shape allowing an aggressive position and better brake control with hands low on the bar. The in-frame storage area is combined with a downtube bottle holder so you can easily pack some necessities.
In he configurator on the website you can choose 3 different finish areas, matt or glossy, and components. In an all-Italian configuration (Campagnolo Super Record and Bora wheels), the price* comes to € 15.900. Weight of the bike is around 6,8 kg.
