We appreciate creativity in cycling. But the OPEN bike designed by Simon Prades is a true piece of art. Ready to race. And to admire.
Simon Prades (1985) is a well-known illustrator for leading media like The New York Times and the Washington Post. Based in Germany, he worked together with Atelier Aumer.92 to transfer his creative ideas on a bike frame. His experience with pencil, ink and digital colouring resulted in a stunning design.
Simon made a trip through the Spanish Pyrenees from Irún to Cadaqués. He took his sketchbook to document his impressions in drawings, words and photos. His findings sourced the creative process back at home.
The result: a tribute to the landscapes on this trip, his love for Oteiza and Arantzazu and to the sincerity of cycling through a country he is related to through his family roots. A result for us to admire.
