An important factor is the use of the Berd PolyLight spokes. These white (!) spokes are made of Dyneema, an ultra-high molecular polyethylene and have approx. 15x strength-to-weight ratio of steel. The tensioned spokes give a very smooth riding feel, especially welcome on a gravel ride. The spokes are also available in black for a literally cleaner look after a ride.

The rims are made of 40 mm deep Toray T700/T800 carbon. The internal width is 24 mm, the external width is 30.5 mm. Recommended tires are between 32 and 50 mm. The rims are hookless to fit tubeless tires only.

The Gravel Carbon 40 wheelset utilises a low resonance double-disc ratchet drive hub system that comes equipped with a 45 Tooth 8° engagement angle and long-lasting endurance bearings to ensure ultimate durability and race-ready performance. Hubs are compatible with the Shimano HG/HG+, Campagnolo, SRAM XDR & Shimano Microspline.
