The new Forbidden Reya is a short travel trailbike for fast and speedy tracks. It is predictable and responsive, purposed to go down with confidence and climb up again. Not an XCO bike with more travel but a bike built from the ground up to maximise fun and speed.
There is no high pivot to be found on the Reya. Instead, it offers a more traditional 4-bar linkage construction featuring a carbon rocker link. According to Forbidden this would suit the Reya trailbike better than the high pivot as seen on the Druid. The goal with the Reya was to maximize traction, momentum, and efficiency.
Forbidden also decided against in-frame storage for weight savings and maintaining chassis stiffness. There is room for one full-size water bottle, and an accessory mount is found under the top tube. The carbon frame comes at a weight of 2,27 kg (without shock).
Travel in both rear and front is 120 mm. This does justice to the trail characteristics of the bike. Just like the geometry with a 65° head tube angle, a 77° seat tube angle and a reach of 475 mm (size S3).
Top of the Reya range is the Tier 1, featuring a Fox Factory 34 SL fork, Fox Factory Float shock, SRAM XX SL T-Type Drivetrain, SRAM Motive Ultimate brakes, OneUp Dropper Post, DT Swiss 1500 Carbon wheels w/240 Hubs and Maxxis Rekon tyres.
Weight: 11,74 kg.
