Giant introduced the next generation Propel aero bike range. The bike is lighter, more aerodynamic and very efficient. It is designed for all road conditions: long climbs, fast flats and tight corners. Even during long days in the saddle on less perfect roads.

The new Propel is a result of Giant’s Total Speed Development Process. In this process the individual data and metrics is converted in an integrated model. All components, new frame, new aero wheels, integrated handlebar and even rider, are aerodynamically treated as one single dynamic unit. The result: 18.4-watt advantage over the previous generation.

The Propel Advanced SL frame is 3.4% torsionally stiffer and 2.4% stiffer at pedalling than its predecessor. Combined with its lighter weight, this results in a 5.7% better stiffness-to-weight ratio. In total the weight of the Propel went down with 355 grams, thanks to the new frame, cockpit and wheels.

The handling efficiency went up with almost 15%. The redesigned frame and cockpit significantly reduce road vibrations. Wider tyres up to 32 mm can be fitted to add to the increased comfort of the bike. And the integration of frame and wheels ensure more stable steering in case of crosswinds.

In short, the new Giant Propel Advanced is an aero bike that’s not just fast on paper. It is fast where it counts the most: on the road.
