The new Eddy Merckx 525R is developed with one main goal in mind, create an aero bike that offers an aggresive but comfortable riding position. The light carbon frame and aerodynamically shaped tubes offer the right combination for it.
The geometry is progressive and optimizes rider and bike as a single aerodynamic system. A combination of a variable seat tube angle, depending on frame size, a longer reach and a higher head tube create an aggressive position and meets today’s requirements in modern cycling. And with a tyre clearance up to 34 mm, the 525R offers more versatility than traditional aero bikes.
Aerodynamic details can be found on both frame and fork. The down tube features a sharp wing near the headset to minimize air resistance. The asymmetrical fork works as a diffuser to handle front and side winds on open courses.
Clean lines, distinctive tube shapes, and thoughtful styling create a bike that is not only fast but also feels visually powerful and authentic. Just like the Cannibal himself.
