We admit, we are a big fan of the BAUM brand. Every time they introduce a new model, we are on the edge of our chairs. And the latest 32” gravel bike in staggering (Shimano?) blue lives up to our expectations. Not a fit for everyone but if it does, prepare yourself for a rapid ride on rough roads.
BAUM built their first 32-inch gravel bike a year ago and what started as an experiment evolved quickly in a proven concept. The 32” wheels improved rollover, increased stability and offered excellent handling on technical terrains.
The latest version shows a different geometry. It is lower, longer, more aggressive. And the utilised Berd spokes improve comfort considerably. The slight dampening allows for higher speeds at less impact. The narrow handlebars add to a race-ready riding position.
The use of 32” wheels might not be the optimal fit for everyone, but this BAUM DBM certainly shows a different interpretation of what a big-wheeled gravel bike can be.
