“The best way to test a bike is to race it”. Famous words from founder Edoarda Bianchi when he started his workshop. And 140 years later, these words still stand for the Bianchi brand.

To celebrate this anniversary, Bianchi launched two special editions: the Specialissima RC and the Oltro RC. The ‘Founder Edition’ comes in a limited number of only 85 bikes, referring to the founding year 1885. Both models are finished in one of two special, hand-painted paint layers.

The ‘Blue Italia’ colour scheme is inspired by the royal blue of the House of Savoy (a noble dynasty that used to rule the Savoy), combined with ‘Heritage Yellow’ accents. Another option is ‘Celeste Spectrum’, an iridescent mix of celeste, purple and blue that constantly changes colours. See image above.

The special bikes are also marked with the number ‘999’ on the fork. That number used to be placed on special Reparto Corse bikes from Bianchi: a special line reserved for professional athletes and “celebrated personalities.”

In addition, the initial B is placed on the fork and frame, just like the brand did in the 60s and 70s. Traditional touches on a modern, fast and very exclusive bike.
