Ondřej Cink competed the UCI XCO World Championships on a CUBE AMS 32” prototype. Earlier that month, he won the national championship on that same bike. We took a closer look at his machine, in the factory darkness and out there in the light. Although it is not sure whether 32” wheels are the way to go for XCO competition, it definitely can bring some advantages in slightly less technical terrain and for longer riders, like Cink (180 cm).

We like the prototype finish on this 32” bike. It looks a bit like the PHENIX C:68X SLT we featured on Cyclonista earlier this year:

The orange colour of the FOX suspension really stands out. In front a Factory 34 (RAD) prototype is installed, in the rear a Factory Float SL. Travel is 120 mm up front and 115 mm in the back.

Newmen supplied the 32” wheels equipped with Schwalbe Rick Race Pro 2,4″ tyres and a Pepi’s Tyre Noodle insert.  Drivetrain and 4-piston brakes: Shimano XTR Di2 including 4iiii power meter.  

The CUBE AMS Raceday C:68X 32” is not yet featured on the CUBE website but hopefully we will be able to check the bike out in store soon. For longer riders who want to be fast on speedy trails.
