Asheville (NC) based Industry Nine is well known for its handmade wheels and hubs. They recently relaunched the Hydra hub series with the re-engineered Hydra2. It features a newly designed 65% thicker axle, larger 6903 bearings with new outboard seals and enlarged pawl pockets to ensure a durable ride in the most challenging conditions.
The drive ring is 7% larger and the feathers now have 3 teeth each, to reduce the force between the two by 21%. The tooth depth is shallower, reducing the overall noise of the hub. The updated Hydra2 also places the brake bearing further back in the hub and provides as such a larger seal to keep water and dirt out.
The Hydra2 hub set comes in 12 (!) different colours, making it the perfect customization of your mountain bike.
