Radic Performance claims to have developed the most powerful disc brakes in the world, the KAHA. The name stands for “to be strong, able, capable, courageous, intense” and finds its origin in the language of the Maori, the native people from New Zealand, homebase of Radic Performance.
And they sure have a point, thanks to the large mechanical transmission ratio between finger force and clamping force of the brake calliper, it delivers impressive braking power. At the same time, it impresses with a precise pressure point, which is made possible by a very short free travel, steel flex lines and brake levers with sealed stainless steel bearings.
The KAHA brake set has been expertly engineered to ensure efficient removal of old oil and air from the system, thanks to its hydraulic route which minimizes the presence of trapped air. With the use of easily accessible bleed tool fittings, tuning up the brake set is both quick and hassle-free. Crafted from high-quality aerospace-grade aluminium, the KAHA caliper comes fitted with finely engineered stainless steel pistons. This brake set can be configured with seals for either DOT 5.1 or mineral oil applications.
