Pauline Gaidet lives and trains between Tignes and Méribel, in the heart of the Alps. A former trail runner and avid skier, she has always been passionate about endurance sports and the great outdoors. After an injury forced her to step away from trail running, Pauline discovered ultra-distance cycling.
What started as just an alternative became a consuming passion, driving her today toward her greatest challenge: preparing for the 2,500 km Race Across France.
Please find below the final episode (of 5) about the preparations of Pauline and the start of this ultimate race. But this last step did not go as planned. Faced with extreme heat waves, the race was neutralised and a new start was given from Albertville for the last 650 kilometres. A new race then begins.
A story of surpassing oneself, perseverance and passion, which reveals the human dimension of ultra-distance.
