The Italian 3T has several gravel bikes in its range and the Racemax² Italia is the most race-oriented of them. With the Racemax² Italia, they focus on riders who are looking for maximum speed, whether in the UCI Gravel World Series, the Gravel Earth Series or the Lifetime Grand Prix.
With the Racemax geometry, 3T stays true to what they call the ‘realfast gravel’ principle. It’s all about an optimal balance between speed and comfort. The updated geometry provides sharper handling thanks to a steeper head angle, more stability due to a larger bottom bracket drop and improved reactivity with shorter 420 mm chainstays.
One of the most important updates is that wider tires can be fitted. The bike offers space for tires up to 51 mm wide with a 1-by drive and up to 48 mm with a 2-by drive.
The aerodynamic performance has improved; wind tunnel tests show an efficiency gain of about 1.5% compared to the previous model. This win is thanks to a slimmer head tube and an aerodynamic ‘nose’ of the head tube. A renewed front fork with concealed caliper attachment would also contribute to a better performance.
The frameset weighs about 1,370 grams in size M. The Racemax² Italia comes in four sizes and four colors: the metallic shades of Brezza and Ambra, and the iridescent Rame and Smeraldo. The seat post is equipped with integrated seat post lighting.
3T offers a variety of components, including Shimano GRX Di2 (€ 9.818*), SRAM Force XPLR AXS Torno (€ 10.412*), SRAM Red XPLR AXS (€ 12.595*), and Campagnolo Super Record Gravel (€ 12.991*). The frameset will set you back € 4,917*.
