The Danish CeramicSpeed is well known for the very high quality of their bottom bracket range they offered so far, offering the lowest possible friction and longest possible durability.

Nevertheless, the engineers at CeramicSpeed have managed to further improve the existing bottom brackets. Of course, the unsurpassed Ceramicspeed SpeedBalls made of silicon nitride ceramic have been retained. These are approx. 15% harder than those of the competition and can absorb considerably more force. They also have an incredibly smooth surface and, together with the stainless steel rails, reduce rolling resistance to a minimum. In addition, they are estimated to last 6x longer.

The weather protection has been completely revised. Water and dirt cannot get past the external POM plastic dust caps. They are also in line with the bearing shells, preventing dust particles from getting stuck in between. All these details increase the resistance to dirt by up to 5x.

The external construction has also been carefully examined as well. High-quality and stronger 7075 aluminum has been used but in a reduced amount. As a result, the weight has had gone down with 10% compared to its predecessor.

CeramicSpeed tests all its products extensively. In the lab but also in practice. More than 100 prototypes of the ALPHA bottom bracket have been tested by professional teams and amateurs in all imaginable conditions. Only if all tests are positive, the new products get approved by CeramicSpeed.
