As previously mentioned, see https://cyclonista.com/new-rotor-uno-electronic-groupset-for-mtb/ the Rotor Uno groupset has been relaunched for both mountain- and gravel bikers.
The gravel group uses the same derailleur as the MTB version but with a shorter aluminum cage of 75 millimeters. This derailleur has 12-tooth derailleur wheels. It makes the group suitable for cassettes from 10 to 13 speed, with a maximum sprocket of 46 teeth.
Unlike the Uno mountain bike group, Rotor does supply complete hydraulic brake levers with the gravel group. They have a horizontally placed brake cylinder and carbon brake levers requiring minimum pressure in handling. The clamping band is made of titanium. Furthermore, the filling and bleeding of the mineral brake oil via the handle have been improved. The levers are adjustable in reach.
The flatmount calipers are made from a single piece, have ceramic brake pistons and are compatible with Shimano brake pads. The braking system is also compatible with Shimano’s BH90 brake lines. Rotor supplies matching 160 millimeter brake discs with a center lock or 6-hole mounting.
For gear shifting, both grips are equipped with two buttons. Via the Uno app, you can determine the function of each button. Each handle has a CR1632 button cell.
Rotor does supply a cassette for the Uno gravel group. That is an 11-46-tooth 12-speed one, with a range of 418 percent. This makes the range a bit more limited than the 460 percent of SRAM XPLR and the 510 percent of the Shimano GRX Wireless 1x setups. The bottom eight sprockets of this cassette are milled from a single piece of steel. Rotor makes the largest four from a single piece of aluminium, which brings the weight of the cassette to only 294 grams.
Details on prices and availability will follow soon.
