The new BMC Timemachine was developed in strong collaboration with the Tudor Pro Cycling Team. In fact, they requested BMC to create a new bike that would make their best riders at least 3% faster. The result: Stefan Küng won the final TT stage of the Tour of Poland. An emotional win for him personally and a great achievement for the BMC development team.

The Timemachine was created from scratch. After spending many hours in extensive wind tunnel and simulation tests. Each detail was evaluated individually before putting them all together and making it a well-balanced aerodynamic system. BMC calls it AeroSynthesis.

Modern World Tour time trials are won above 55 km/h. To meet this reality, the Timemachine Mpc. was engineered to deliver over 3% performance gain to the system (rider + components + frame), with the frameset alone achieving a massive 37.6% aerodynamic improvement over previous generations. Four specific areas of performance gains:

Halo+ fork: pushing out the fork legs as much as possible. A central fin guides the airflow towards the down tube.

SpeedSlab: delivers the greatest drag gains versus its predecessor. A strengthened front end delivers stiffness and reduces drag.  

Bayonet system: the narrow headtube and Bayonet system use tension-free needle bearings for a clean and stiff front-end setup.

PayLoadFins: placed on the seatstays to cut drag and generate a forward airflow effect.

All of this resulted in a 3,7% drag reduction of the overall system. And meeting the new UCI regulations at the same time. Overshooting the ambitious kick-off goal of 3%, the result was clear: when the clock is ticking, speed still finds a way.

The Timemachine Mpc. is available as a frameset including fork, integrated handlebar, BB and seat post and is priced* at € 18.999. An elite time trial frameset built for riders who need results, not reassurance. Lesser riders need not apply, according to BMC.
